So funktionieren Abschiebungen in Österreich

Aus dem UK werden zur Zeit viele Menschen mit Charterflugzeugen abgeschoben. Nach Angaben der "National Coalition of Anti-Deportation campaigns" ist es das erste Mal, dass das Innenministerium eine solch hohe Anzahl von Menschen gegen ihren Willen deportiert. Davor wurden Charterflugzeuge nur bei "freiwilliger Rückkehr"verwendet. Sprecher des Innenministeriums geben an, dass dies immer schon allgemeine Praxis im Vereinigten Königreich war. Offizielle BehördervertreterInnen sprechen nicht viel darüber, wir konnten bis jetzt nicht erforschen, welche Fluglinien diese Abschiebungen vornehmen. Die individuellen Aufträge haben nur die Bezeichnung "Charterflug" und die Schubhaftbehörde, die für Anfragen zu Details von Abschiebungen zuständig war gibt nun an, dass die Verantwortlichkeiten aufgeteilt wurden. Es gibt jetzt eine spezielle Stelle des Innenministeriums für Charterflüge. In der Zeitung Independent erschien ein Artikel der auf Informationen von John O von der "National Coalition of Anti-Deportation campaigns" basierte. Es sagte, dass die noborder-Gruppe mit Protesten beginnen sollte.

Das Problem ist, dass wir keine wirklichen Informationen haben. Der nächste geplante Flug wird offenbar am 9.4. durchgeführt. Unnötig zu sagen, dass dies eine beunruhigende Entwicklung ist. Die Regierung plant in den nächsten 9 Monaten 30.000 Personen abzuschieben und wenn es keinen Widerstand gegen diese Methode der Charterflüge gibt, wird es möglich sein. The UK is now deporting high numbers of people with charter jets. According to the national coalition of anti-deportation campaigns, it's the first time that the Home Office is deporting people against their will in such big numbers, before, charter jets have been used for 'voluntary repatriation' only. The HO spokespeople say that this has always been common practice in the UK. Officials are very quiet about it, sp far we haven't found out which aircraft companies are doing it, the individual deportation orders just say 'charter flight', and the detention centre unit which used to be responsible for enquiries about deportation details now says they've split responsibilities. There now a special HO unit for charer flights. There was an article in the Independent, based on information by John O from the ncadc (national coalition of anti-deportation campaigns), who thinks that the noborder group should start the protests.

Problem is we don't really have one. The next planned flight is on the 9th apparently. Needless to say, this is a really worrying development, the government is planning to deport 30,000 people in the next 9 months, and if there's no resistance to the charter flight method, this will be possible. _________________________________________________________________________
